Why didn't I get chickens instead of dogs? I can never learn what those labels really say.
I know large and extra large and grade A, AA, and AAA. Mom used to raise chicens. Half of them she kept for laying hens. The other half she sold for fryers.
Guess how she knew which ones to keep?
(Hint: she read the codes)

Food labelling is confusing in general. It is a minefield to get around and am sure confuses many people. This article is informative and displays the diversity of peoples tastes.
When I check out egg cartons, I just look to make sure there are 12 of them in there and that none of them are broken. ~ j///b
